    FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT CONFERENCE:

The conference combines a discussion on the advanced techniques of
advocacy required in the international scene in both litigation and
mediation process with a unique moot court competition on the issue of
    commercial speech.

The first session will be held from 3.20 p.m. and will involve
discussion on the skills, experience and approach needed to settle
legal disputes, both through traditional and alternative dispute
resolutions. Our guests will be prominent law practitioners in the
field - Mec. Wojciech Jaworski, Attorney at Allen&Overy, admitted to
bar in Poland and England and Wales (as solicitor) and Dr Ewa
Gmurzynska, a specialist in the mediation process.

The second and third session will see students practising their
advocacy skills in the moot court competition. They will argue their
case before the Supreme Court in the United States of America. The
case concerns a ban on tobacco advertising which constitutionality has
been questioned in the light of the First Amendment to the
    Constitution.

The judicial panel which will assess the students' performance and
will provide invaluable insight into the case consists of the
specialist in the constitutional law from United States and Poland -
prof. Joseph Little, prof. Francis Conte, prof. Longchamps de Berier.

The conference will be a unique opportunity to discuss in the
international environment the most pressing problems and requirements
of advocate techniques and see them in action in the moot court
    competition.

See the programme of the conference attached. Media coverage is
    provided by Rzeczpospolita.
