Uhm. I'm also talking to myslef in english. Maybe it's stupid but really helpful; ).

Reading books, writing with english people, watching some foreign soap operas etc.

well im an english speaker get a good friend who will help you pronounce the words then put them in a valid sentance

Well I'm in the opposite situation -- native English speaker learning Polish. I reckon the best way to learn a new language is by immersion i.e. move somewhere where you are surrounded by native speakers.

I've been learning Polish for years and let me tell you passion is not enough in my instance. I understand the dinner table conversation at my parents in law's house but I can't hold a conversation. I can't wait until I can move to Poland even if just for a few years, I'm sure it will help get me up to speed.
