it's just sad...
and you can see who's the most stupid, i mean, how do they know we're uncivilised, homophobic, live like animals...perhaps these are their features not ours?
maybe it's hard for them to admit it? it's easier to say someone's like this or like that... -
Greenie
There's no greater pleasure for a stupid person than to drop their bad features on someone else. This guy, "thebradish" obviously has never visited Poland... He seems to be one of those guys who spend all day in front of their computers insulting other Internauts and boasting how smart they are, even though they don't know a thing. Can't help with stupidity and ignorance... Therefore we should be understanding... And I don't agree that people from other countries don't like Poland... I know lots of foreigners that just love Poland, its stories, its atmosphere, its culture... I agree with one thing: it's a matter of civilisation.. I mean, uncivilised people don't like civilised people... Simple as that... And civilisation is not "measured" by country you live in. -
plejada
People are just people and it's not the matter of your country of origin or nationality. Think about the things the Polish say about other nationalities (Jews, Russians...) and quite often they are not ordinary people but politicians, actors, journalists...
I've seen people on a bus watching an gorgeous young man, dressed in smart suit, shyly smiling. Girls giggling and whispering about his looks.. And suddenly after he answered his mobile, people just moving as far from him as iit was possible. He was speaking Arabic... -

It's horrible...
I seek to don't estimate people on account of their nationality. I think like plejada it doesnt matter that u live here or there, what origin you're.. Unfourtunelly some people can't understand this and theirs beahviur is just impolite. -
Dexter
Not everyone hates Polish. Australians are not like that - probably because most of them even don't know where Poland is. But I didn't hear too many Aussies complaining about Polish nation.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. British and Irish are well known grumpies and they even don't like themselves. Americans had plenty of bad experience with Polish who are like Chinese in Sydney (they are everywhere and can't speak English) and I can understand them. Besides Europeans and Americans other nations treat Polish in positive way. -
* mr and mrs d *
Yeah I do agree with Dexter. Poles that come to UK r a pain in the arse- they can't even speak English! After May(->EU) they seem 2 b everywhere! I can understand y English don't like us so much. -
Mariko
You know why? Just look in the topic on 'Anglia grono' on jedzenie and 'wracajac do jedzenia' and also why they went there and why people come back to Poland. You'll see ourselves in new light. That's why people from other countries can dislike us. Greetings. -

i agree with you to some extent but i don't understand one thing, i don't get what's with that food? i mean, i know that it's a horrible polish feature, complaining, but please explain me the connection beetwen this and the rude conversation we talk about here -
Mariko
It's easy - we do exactly the same and yet we say world is unfair because noone likes us. And do we like other countries? Aren't we xenophobes? It's just the view from different perspective. -
Anonim
it's true but i guess in that conversation they seem to know nothing about polish people, and that makes a difference, if they would tell me one good reason why they think this way... -
Anonim
well.. i got a different story... its bout polish girls in particular. and what ppl think of them in e.g. italy.. im sure most of u know dat very well but in case u dont ill jus quickly say that im not surprised (though it aint a nice feelin when you experience it) that guys in such countries as italy perceive polish girls as hookers... the truth (sad as it is) is that most of them polish gurls (who represent us in a way rite?) do act like dat and get laid each nite with a different italiano... so what else are they the hell supposed to think of us if we have such lousy representatives...; )
damn...
peace. -

you have right but actually in every country you can find our lousy representatives and it seems to me most of our all representatives are like that...or almost . fortunately we all have heard something kind of us as a nation, haven't we? -

There's a horrible stereotype in other countries that Poland and Polish people are stupid, uncivilized and that we don't even know what internet and mobile phones are. But in my opinion those who are saying those things are stupid... and not us :)

Actually i was pretty suprised when I went to U.S. for last summer.
I was working in Casino in Cherokee, NC.
And people there were very friendly and kind to all Polish students. They knew some basic information about Poland -> most of them, even if they live in Indian Reservation. They were also very curious about Poland, our culture, country and traditions. It was big pleasure to me being able to show them Poland from my own perspective and encourage some of them to visit me here.
I can say more. These guys who came here this winter time were amazed by Polish hospitality, friendly attitude and much more ( but 3hours of free time in Germany on the airport was enaugh for them to start hating Germans.. huh. what can I say).
Most of them didn't have any picture of Polish people. I was suprised and that gave me kind of feeling that we're not everywhere seen as 'worse race' or something. Actually what I noticed was that they 'a little bit' dont like Mexican people there.
Oh, well. In every country You can find some stereotypes and common opinions about different nations -> and bad and good.
I think that this conversation in first post just showes 'openess' and 'knowledge' of these guys. What can I say. I feel sorry for them, because being so mentally limited doesn't make life happier. :)
Hugs.
