I didn't have English at primary school, only Russian and German. Then, 4 years in high school, intermediate. Now, studying English in school of higher education, from advanced to proficiency. It's nort difficult to guess: about 6 - 7 years. But still - English has been around since I was born. Music, films.. -

I would say 6-7 years of learning english is not much in Poland, but if you go to eng-spoken country you can learn more that your englsih teacher. Well it mostly depends on your age , lets say you've been learning eng in U.S. at the age of >12 - you speak like native.
I've been learning English for 8 years including 2 years of knowledge acquired in U.S. Now i speak fluently but still a bit of accent is noticeable.
gl in your learning adventure :) -

You're right. After 6 years of learning in Poland I'm still not sure what I'm saying and in what way.. And if you go abroad it just comes naturally.. -
