BATTLEFIELDS potrzebuja pomocy finansowej. MSG od zespolu:
"Yesterday we made a post about our van being put in the shop for some crucial rear end/axle repairs. Originally it was an easy $500 repair that I avoided paying my bills to cover. Once it was taken into the shop it was a $1400 repair and then Andy avoided paying some of his bills and we came up with the money. Now that they have our van tore apart, the bill has doubled to $2400 + we need an oil change before we leave with Irepress March 5th = ~$2500. Although we have exhausted our efforts, we are still trying to find ways to come up with the money.
"One option that several people/bands suggested was putting up a donation button on our site, which we have just done. Hopefully this helps and doesn't make us seem like we are looking for handouts, but at this point, we kind of are. We are in the position to give you merchandise, book your band shows, hj's and blood... The donation button is on the front of our page. Thank you. Canceling tour for us is not an option."

''It is often easy to get into an argument with a fellow friend about the genre classification of a band, especially if you are arguing about an artist that could fall under doom, sludge, or post-metal. If you find yourself sick of arguing with your friends, Minnesota/North Dakota outfit Battlefields may be right up your alley. Mixing the slow and methodical pace of doom, the thickness of sludge and the ambience of post-metal, their Translation Loss debut Thresholds of Imbalance is a huge three-headed beast that is bound to impress even the most casual metal listeners.

That said, its impact won’t be felt immediately. With three tracks trudging past the ten-minute mark, patience will be key – especially in a song like “The Thresholds” which beautifully builds up into a heavy climax in the midst of its thirteen-minute running time only to slowly digress into ambience once again. Throughout the nine tracks on the album – three of which are two-minute long transition tracks, which are some of the heaviest on the album – it is evident that the dudes that make up Battlefields focus heavily on songwriting and developing ideas rather than shredding their instruments into oblivion.

It is easy to write Battlefields off as another band joining the newly created Neurisis genre (for those of you who don’t know, it is the horde of bands that are heavily influenced by Neurosis and Isis). While their sound never fully emulates either band, their large sonic landscapes and aggressive vocals will immediately draw comparisons for many listeners. In fact, Battlefields’ well-balanced mix of doom, sludge, and post-metal put them up with some of the best bands of this style. Bands like Rosetta and Mouth of Architects need to watch their backs.

For those with A.D.D., be warned, you will fucking hate this band. For the few that don’t have it, I advise you to go to bed a bit early tonight and throw on Thresholds of Imbalance - preferably with some kick-ass headphones – and enjoy the doooooooom.''
