Divine Heresy member, wife attacked by ex-singer

According to the wife of Divine Heresy founder (and former Fear Factory member), Dino Cazares, both she and her husband were attacked this past weekend by former Divine Heresy singer, Tommy "Vext" Cummings, at a Metal Mayhem show. Jennifer Cazares has issued the following:
"Last night at The Metal Mayhem Festival, having a great time with awesome friends backstage. Out of no where comes a beer and fist straight to my face (so horrifying and painful). That somebody... (Tommy Vext). He has my husband by the hair (it all was so sudden) next thing you know the Live Nation guards pushed us all over, stopping everything and it took several guards to take Tommy down. They took him down and he hit his head on the ground cutting his head open, and even then he was still pulling my husband's hair and not letting go. I was struggling to get out of this mess of people. I don't really realize what's going on!
"Tommy Vext (new Snot singer, ex-Divine Heresy) tried attacking Dino for no reason. I was terrified. I feared for my life [from] this guy five times my size. He could of killed me, literally. I assure you [it was] absolutely unprovoked. Everybody knows Tommy has a history of being a loose cannon and ready to explode at any moment. This is the second time Tommy has assaulted Dino in recent month's, the first assault being in Poughkeepsie, New York.
"To make matters worse, we had the sherrif's escort us out because we truly feared for our lives and as we were escorted out Tommy yelled, "ALL YOU FAGGOTS IN CALI NEED SECURITY GUARDS. YOU ARE ALL PUSSIES." Does this mean everywhere we go we always have to worry that this lunatic is going to attack me or my husband at any of the events we are working? Or Dino is signing at? I was working for Revolver Magazine And Musicians intitute and Dino was doing a signing. This really worries me because me and Dino are working on having our first baby and I can't have this kind of drama going on everywhere we go, not to mention my health and stress. This doesn't help when you are trying to get pregnant or already are pregnant in the early stages.

Cazares has posted some photos of injuries purported to have resulted from the alleged assault.

Nowy wokalista!

After much controversy and speculation, Divine Heresy have returned stronger than ever with a dynamic new vocalist, Travis Neal (The Bereaved, Pushed), who will join them on their upcoming tour of Mexico, which will be followed by a string of U.S. dates. The group recently re-recorded the album's vicious title track, "Bleed The Fifth" with Neal on vocals. Head here http://www.myspace.com/divineheresy... to check it out. A video for the track is also currently being edited together for an early Sept. airdate, so keep an eye out.
Dino Cazares (guitars) further comments: "We are beyond stoked to have Travis on board with us and we immediately knew that he was the perfect guy for the job. He definitely has the range and stage presence to make him one of the genre’s most lethal vocalists out there and the new material we are writing is going to smoke our debut. It’s more brutal, faster and pissed off, so you better start preparing yourselves now. Until then, we went ahead and re-recorded 'Bleed The Fifth' with Travis and it’s just a little taste of what this guy is truly capable of so enjoy and we will see you soon." -

Pierwszy z Travisem Nealem na wokalu.
Dino Cazares (gitarzysta) komentuje: "With Neal now having a few shows under his belt, his confidence is coming across through the new material. The songwriting process has been great and the ideas are constantly flowing. Collaborating with Tim Yeung, Joe Payne and Neal, all together hashing out ideas in the practice space has been very therapeutic and enjoyable. We all have a collective desire to take our performances to the next level with this release to undoubtedly prove that we are one of the most devastating bands in the scene today.
